Our thanks go to Paul Johnstone for making our pre-season social evening an enjoyable event by tacking on all-comers in a simultaneous play.

While other clubs relax informally, chat, mingle and dance for entertainment, we prefer to try and beat Paul Johnstone at a game of chess. Paul once again denied us this opportunity with no defeats but conceding a draw against Stuart Calderbank (well done Stuart). This makes us feel even worse, Paul not having played a game since the simultaneous the previous year.
